Vandalism of Greek goddess sculpture at Supreme Court
The sculpture in front of the High Court Annex building in the Supreme Court premises has been vandalised. It is not known who or who broke the sculpture.
On Tuesday (August 6) morning in the Supreme Court premises, it was seen that the steel sculpture holding a beard as a symbol of justice was broken.
In late 2016, this sculpture, modeled after the Greek goddess Themis, symbolizing justice, was installed in the Supreme Court premises.
In May 2017, in front of the fountain of the main building of the Supreme Court, the sculpture was reinstated in front of the High Court Annex building in the face of the demands of some Islamist groups including Hefazet Islam.
